Serhat and Engin are two confused cousins who completed their education in Istanbul and returned to their village, but are neither fully urban nor fully rural, caught in between. After the dynamic and bright life of the city, they are fed up with playing okey in the cafeteria all day long in the village, their mother’s pressure asking “When are you getting married?” and their father’s insistence on taking over their business. And as if that were not enough, their mother tries to force them to marry girls from the village. Serhat and Engin begin to think of ways to somehow return to the city. After a friend of theirs said, “The real life is here,” and when they learned that their old love from the university still couldn’t forget them, Serhat and Engin decided to set out for Izmir. How difficult could the life that awaits them in the city be?
